All the galleries for a user on one page with descriptions (click to show larger image). All the galleries for a user on one page with descriptions (click to show larger image). While we're not trying to be flikr, we've provided you with the ability to create galleries, upload photos, and associate those photos with your galleries.

From the right-side menu, you can choose "Your Photos", which will take you to a page that will allow you to see what galleries you have, and to create up to ten galleries. This is the same page that anyone visiting your profile will see, except of course they won't have an "Edit" link to change your galleries, and they won't see any private galleries unless you've given them permission to do so. The page includes the descriptions you give each gallery. You can create new galleries (public and private)A single gallery page (click to show larger image).A single gallery page (click to show larger image)., and change the names, descriptions, and public/private setting of your existing galleries. You can also see to whom you've granted permission to see your private galleries (only you see this link), and remove that permission if you want. Clicking on the name of a gallery takes you to a page showing all thumbnails of the photos in that gallery, along with captions you've given your photos. Clicking on any thumbnail shows that photo large-size along with navigation controls to let you move through the other photos in the gallery.Clicking on a photo shows it larger, along with navigation controls to move forward and backward through the photos (click for larger image).Clicking on a photo shows it larger, along with navigation controls to move forward and backward through the photos (click for larger image). In the thumbnail view of the gallery, you can also remove photos from that gallery, or move them to a different gallery.

Granting permission to a member to see your private galleries is as simple as going to their profile page, scrolling down to the Private Galleries Permissions section, and in the expandable box there, checking off which galleries you want them to see and then clicking the Update button. When you grant a member permission to see a private gallery, they will receive an automatic message letting them know, with a link to the gallery.

Removing permission is as simple as unchecking the box beside the gallery, or as easily, from the list of galleries, clicking the "who can view" link which will list the users that can see a private gallery, unchecking the ones you no longer wish to have access, and clicking the Update button.

You can upload up to 2 MB worth of photos. We automatically re-size your photos to 640 by 480 if they're bigger than that, which means you have lots of space for heaps of photos. If you need more, we provide a link to your flikr account in your profile. Photos are initially uploaded via the "My Files" tab within your account. You can also get there from the Upload Pics and Associate them to a Gallery link on the Your Photos and Galleries page, which you access from the Your Photos menu.

And, a great bonus to your livingOUTthere.com account is that your public galleries and photos, just like the rest of your profile, is available to anyone on the net via your profile link, under the "Galleries" tab of your profile. Your private galleries and the photos in them are only visible to the livingOUTthere.com members to whom you grant permission.
