Just came across this post on thestreet.com, and it rings SO true. Check it out. The consequences, of course, are disturbing, but at least we're in Canada. Not that that's going to make everything alright...

Interesting watching the news tonight, with the question of "who's to blame?!?" starting to surface in the Conservative party. Some seem to want to pin the culpability on Harper’s Chief of Staff, Guy Giorno. Well, given he was part of the Harris and Eves fiascos in Ontario, I can’t say I’d trust him any further than I could throw him, and he probably does need a good proverbial "cuff up side the head". But, at the end of the day, the top guy is always accountable for all the work products, decisions, and consequences of those work products and decisions of all of his subordinates. read more »
This is pretty interesting. So Harper got his stay from the axe. Given it was a two-hour meeting with the Governor General, I would have loved to have been in that room! Hopefully we'll know someday what was said, but interestingly it seems that it is unfolding kind of in line with my post last night... kind of... read more »
"Well, this is another fine mess you've gotten us into!" Those old words from black-and-white film days seem quite apropos today here in Canada.

Well, it's not too small to read, and I can see the little super-script '1' beside the "/MO.", and so I go to look for the after-12-months price, turn over the page, and there on the bottom is "the fine print". And it was indeed fine. Probably about 3-point size. read more »
Well, it's almost a week after the Canadian National Election, and having mulled it over for a week, I think this is the best possible outcome given the current circumstances. read more »
Had a very strange on-line conversation today with a young guy. A simple "wink" from me on a site (which is in fact a totally non-desrcript, ambiguous, but nonetheless positive acknowledgment of someone) lead to the oddest conversation, where he somehow assumed that what was in fact the expression of my appreciation for the aesthetic of his photo somehow translated into me wanting to sleep with him. Except he was trolling for prospects for his "man" (whatever that meant)... but that's another story... sort of... read more »
